众所周知，细节题在英语（二）阅读中比重最大，其中因果细节题又是出现频率很高的一类题，那什么叫做因果细节题呢？
如若题干出现了because.../in that.../due to.../for...等等，就可判断是因果细节题啦。
识别完题型后，接下来就是根据题干关键词定位找答案了。
我们以2011年Text 4第36题为例：
[A] are competing for the leading position
[B] are busy handling their own crises
[C] fail to reach an agreement on harmonisation
[D] disagree on the steps towards disintegration
Yet the debate about how to save Europe's single currency from disintegration is stuck. It is stuck because the euro zone's dominant powers,
通过题干中的because可以确定，此题为因果细节题，再根据题干关键词“The debate over the EU’s single currency is stuck…”直接定位到第三段第二句话，经过与选项比对，选项C与原文高度吻合。因此，正确答案为C。
然而，有些时候，你可能会发现，原文并没有because这类词啊，那我们应该如何寻找答案呢？
27. The author of the research article are optimistic because
[A] the problem is solvable
[B] their approach is costless
[C] the recruiting rate has increased
[D] their findings appeal to students
But the article is actually quite optimistic, as it outlines a potential solution to this problem, suggesting that an approach (which involves a one-hour, next-to-no-cost program) can close 63 percent of the achievement gap (measured by such factors as grades) between first-generation and other students.
题干出现了because，判断此题为因果细节题。关键词定位到第二段第一句话，这里没有出现because此类词啊。仔细看，你会发现有一个“as”，as可以引导原因状语从句呢，它有“因为”的意思，因此答案就在这，“因为它勾勒出了这个问题的潜在解决方案”。对应选项A。（注意不要误选B）
除了because这些熟悉词可接原因外，还有as，since等词也可以引导原因状语从句哦。
我们再以2012年Text 2 为例：
……Unfortunately, L. A. Unified has produced an inflexible policy which mandates that with the exception of some advanced courses, homework may no longer count for more than 10% of a student's academic grade.(Para1)
This rule is meant to address the difficulty that students from impoverished or chaotic homes might have in completing their homework. But the policy is unclear and contradictory. Certainly, no homework should be assigned that students cannot complete on their own or that they cannot do without expensive equipment. But if the district is essentially giving a pass to students who do not do their homework because of complicated family lives, it is going riskily close to the implication that standards need to be lowered for poor children. (Para2)
题干关键词“L. A. Unified”在第一段，但没出现“the rule”，继续往下文看，它在第二段第一句话“this rule”其实就是指的是上文提到的L. A. Unified made the policy about homework ，并且此句话出现了“poor students”（“students from impoverished or chaotic homes”同义替换），但这句话就是没有出现because这类词啊，下文也找不到，那原因到底在哪里呢？“is meant to”表目的，目的在某种程度上可以等同于原因，所以我们把答案锁定在第二段第一句，选项C就是原文的同义改写，所以正确答案是C。
本道题解题关键在于，目的=原因。为了更好理解，举个中文例子。
题目：我为什么每天熬夜背单词？
答案：因为我要学好英语。
